i am a (mostly) self taught jewellery artist based in toronto, using the lost wax casting method. i am inspired by natural textures and shapes, gothic and brutalist aesthetics, as well as my own experiences with spirituality and existentialism. as for my process, i like to think of myself as a discoverer rather than a creator - everything is already there waiting for me to let it out. the wax shows me how it wants to flow and i listen to it, i coax it, and i work with it instead forcing it to fit a specific vision.
what results is an extremely freeing and exploratory process where meaning emerges and a pressure is lifted - i find peace in the journey and my jewellery is a tangible proof that can be worn proudly.
i hope u find something here ☆
this is error.zone
STIGMATA (2025). inspired by the prayers to jesus' wounds that i found in my grandmother's old prayer book. though not necessarily religious, i was intrigued by the passion of faith and the devotion to something as human as a wound.
PROCESS (2025). this is a casting of a wax block that i used to make other pieces. each mark, each imprint is a relic of creation. my favourites are the drag marks; my movements, frozen forever.
INFESTATION (midi ring; 2025). the result of a process of experimentation with shapes and textures. reminiscent of something parasitic yet unsettlingly beautiful. semi-inspired by the cordyceps from the last of us. ☆ RIBBED (cuff; 2025). born from a lifelong fascination with anatomy and the fundamental parts of us that remain hidden.
BACKBONE HOOPS (2025). i love classic silver hoops, but couldn't find an everyday pair that was also a little interesting. the backbone technique leant itself well to this i think. ☆ GRILLZ (2025). a bit of a side project and an experiment with a completely different set of skills. ☆ BLISTERED (hair cuffs; 2025). inspired by a ring i got at a vintage market. the texture was reminiscent to me of popped blisters.
SINEW (2025). inspired by the tissue that connects us. ☆ THE WALLS (2025). the contrast between a meticulously shaped band with the erratic clawing of a desperate hand. what happens when you cling too tightly to perfection. ☆ BACKBONE (2025). this was the very first ring i made with the build-up technique and it reminded me of a spinal column. it has now become my most popular style and the backbone of error.zone as a concept as well.
PROTOTYPE (2025). this was also a bit of an experiment to see what else i could make besides traditional pieces of jewellery. inspired by some doodles i had drawn.
rot. (lighter case; 2025). an exploration of decay
CUSTOM PENDANT (2025). tourmalinated quartz - my first experience incorporating another material into a piece.
